We started with fine goods—offerings of craft, culture, and heritage. But over time, it became clear: what we were really building was a language. A language made of memory, movement, and healing. Now, we speak that language through our art.
Casanova Import Company is a shared vision between me and Venice. She was raised on the East Side of Detroit, where strength lived in the details and style was survival. I was shaped by New York, North Carolina, and Atlanta—carrying rhythm, history, and story. Together, we’ve made a life of nearly twenty years in Atlanta, and our journey stretches even further—to our second home in Portugal, where we live among the olive trees, on a quiet mountaintop outside Aveiazé, in a village called Pelma. There’s something sacred about that land. It slows us down. It deepens the work. Atlanta gives us fire, movement, and breath. Portugal gives us roots.
Venice brings a rare kind of grace to this practice. With a background in psychology and a career in clinical mental health, she’s spent years helping people find themselves again. That healing intention is all over her art. She knows how to hold people gently, and that shows up in every piece she touches. Her knowledge, her care, and her balance bring spirit into form.
My work carries movement, symbolism, and a drive to remember. I’ve stood in crowds that called for change. Sat in rooms where culture was traded but rarely respected. Earned my degrees at North Carolina A&T, where pride, power, and purpose were sewn into every step. All of it lives in the lines, the forms, the stories I draw.
Together, we create art that breathes. That remembers. That helps people pause and reconnect—with themselves, with their lineage, with the parts of life that get drowned out by noise.
And now, our gallery moves with us. We show our work across the country in our 10 by 10 Trimline Tent, 8 feet tall, transformed into a sacred space. Every inch of that tent is covered in art—top to bottom, wall to wall. It’s not just a display. It’s a sanctuary. A portal. A place where memory, beauty, and spirit meet in the open air. From neighborhood streets to national shows, this tent carries the weight of our intention—and soon, it’ll carry it around the world.
We still offer fine goods. But they now follow the rhythm of our art. And soon, that same spirit will show up in the form of fine spices—like saffron—crafted with just as much care and devotion.

Casanova is more than a name—it’s Robert’s grandmother’s name. Her spirit lives in everything we do. We live between two homes—Stone Mountain, Georgia, and a quiet village in the mountains of Pelma, just outside Alvaiázere, Portugal. One gives us rhythm, the other roots. Together, they shape the ground we create from.
This is a partnership between Robert and Venice—artists, collaborators, and storytellers. Robert’s path has been shaped by the cultural richness of New York, North Carolina, and Atlanta. Venice brings the soul of East Detroit into everything she touches—raised in a city where beauty was carved out of resilience. With a degree in psychology and years in clinical mental health, Venice’s work is rooted in healing. Her care is quiet but powerful. Robert’s expression carries movement, myth, and history. His work speaks through symbol and rhythm.

Some love stories are written in ink—ours is etched in soil, sealed in devotion, and carried by wind across oceans. It lives in the streets that raised us and the mountains that hold us still. From the golden sands of Egypt to the ancient stones of Rome, from the hills of Crete to the rhythms of Lisbon, each place we’ve stood has shaped how we love, how we create, and what we offer the world.

Robert Monroe is an Agricultural Economist and cultural designer with over twenty years of experience in global markets, trade, and sustainability. He holds a master’s degree from North Carolina A&T, where legacy and leadership became part of his foundation. His journey has taken him through corporate strategy and creative expression alike—merging system knowledge with spiritual purpose. His art is rooted in symbolism, movement, and ancestral rhythm.
Venice Monroe holds a degree in psychology from Georgia Gwinnett College and spent over a decade in the field of mental health and wellness. Raised on the East Side of Detroit, her life’s work has centered around healing—helping others find peace, wholeness, and restoration. That same care now lives in her art. Her hands create with empathy, grace, and balance.
Together, we carry stories often left untold—but deeply felt. We put our hearts and spirits into everything we create. Our mission is to share a history that unites—through love, through culture, and through the beauty of our accomplishments. This is art not just for walls, but for the soul.
